Kriket thank you for this encouragement. I speak as someone new to journeying, barely a year. At first it seemed easy and amazing and innate. Then in listening to others stories in workshops, I struggled with my egoic impluses to do it well, to do it “right”. In this year I have experienced peaks and valleys. I find it is especially helpful to let go of the idea of “seeing” as an expectation. And I have found that in journaling after a journey, what I write down comes remarkably more clear and specific than what I expect. I am wondering about getting accustomed to what trance experience is like. We are present in the room where we sit or lie, yet present with spirit. I think maybe this dual experience is quite tricky. It’s like, what if I sneeze when journeying? Does it mean I’m not “into it”? I think not. But those sneezes are a reminder of balancing alternative forms of consciousness at the same time!
I am glad the podcast spoke to you!! Sneezing, coughing and all other distractions can certainly be added to the ever evolving ability to balance alternative forms of consciousness, indeed!! As we deepen our practice and create deeper pathways between this place and that place, our journeys change, as does what we will see and experience. The adventure of exploration is not without its head scratches!!
