I was introduced to a shamanic drumming circle in the spring of 1991. It was in the same year, I began to study, and become certified, as a Reiki practitioner. The two seemed like a very perfect fit. My first experience with the drumming circle was pivotal for me. My first journey opened a whole new world for me. I knew I had come home.
I spent the next five years learning the basics of shamanism while attending a weekly drumming circle. In 1996 my teacher, seeing my love for shamanism growing, gave me care and control of the drumming circle. For the next 15 years, I taught different aspects of shamanism to close to 20,000 people.
During this time, I also developed a relationship with the Foundation for Shamanic studies. I wanted my Community to benefit from the teachers, and courses offered through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. I was able to study courses on basic shamanism, extraction, the spirits of nature, dreamwork, death and dying, psychopomp, to name only a few. I enjoyed the learning, as well as sharing the valuable teaching with my Community.
My thirst for experience and understanding, led me, to study with Shamans in, and from, Peru, West Africa. Australia and Finland. I studied Soul Retrieval with Sandra Ingerman. I really found a great need to learn Compassionate Depossession with Betsy Bergstrom.
For the last ten years, I have had a shamanic healing practice. I have found great value, and depth, in my one on one healing sessions.
My love for teaching has never left me. I started teaching small classes in shamanic apprenticeship. The positive responses I have received, regarding my classes, led me to want to reach more people interested in learning this ancient, ever-changing, and never boring, practice of shamanism.
Welcome one and all!
